If you haven’t checked out my last post about how to build and create an online course, then feel free to do so in order for you to be able to understand this post more. Click here to read it first.

Okay, so, in this post we are going to be talking about pricing your course when you want to create an online school only for yourself. When you list your course on marketplaces like Udemy, then you wont have the same freedom on pricing your course.

When you create an online school on an independent platform like teachable, then you can price your course however you want.

So, how to correctly price your course and not overcharge your students.

How to Determine the Pricing of Your Course: By the Length of It.

First of all, look into how long your course is. How many hours does your course have? The pricing between short and long is between 100 and 300$. Short being around 1-1.5 hours, medium between 1.5 and 3 hours, and anything above 3 hours is considered a long course.

Added Material: Assignment, Worksheets or Supplementary Material

Next, do you offer any worksheets, assignments, homework or an supplementary material that you offer with the course? If yes, then you can add $50 value above the original pricing.

Q&A Sessions

Next, do you offer any livestreams like Q&A? If yes, then make sure to add $100 on top of pricing.

If you think that this is too much, then you do not take your own time as being valuable. In order for your students to see your worth, you have to see it first. When you know, that your skills and expertise are valuable, then your students will gladly pay any price in order for them to have even more access to you.

Extra Customer Support

Do you offer WhatsApp customer support? Then make sure to add $50 on top as well.

An Online Inner-Circle Community

Have you created an online community where we always go live together, have an online summit or go somewhere together? Then you can add $100 above that. Why? Because an online community is very valuable in the exact same way as how networking is valuable as well.

It has been proves that your inner circle plays a major role on how you work and how you can scale your business. So, with this community you create a closed circle with likeminded people that helps enhance their work with your course that will make you take their skill to the next level.
